Mobimar Ltd. is a privately owned boatyard and engineering workshop that was founded 1993. We have strong background in both ship- and boat building. Our shipbuilding know-how originates from the Oy Laivateollisuus Ab shipyard, which was founded in 1945 and closed in 1989 (aluminium building since year 1968). Our design and manufacturing facilities are located within this old ship-building area, nowadays Metso Paper Inc. industrial compound, at Turku Pansio Port.

Mobimar specialises in marine products demanding employment of unconventional design approach and top quality aluminium and steel welding.

The Products and Services include:

• Aluminium work boats for authorities and institutions
• FinnSweep® oil recovery systems, capacity range 30 - 150 m³/h
• Tourist submersibles for up to 65 passengers, diving depths to 300 meters.
• Machinery outfitting turn-key deliveries for shipyards
• Aluminium and steel constructions, ship sections
• Manufacturing of prefabricated high pressure stainless steel and steel pipes, the manufacturing line approved by DNV, BV and Germanischer Lloyd

Mobimar uses a design tool called Pro/ENGINEER®, a state-of-the-art 3D-CAD program. Our design facilities are mainly for use of our own production, but we also offer independent design projects and hydrodynamic calculations.

Mobimars Quality Control System is based on SFS-ISO 9001. and we submit our QA Manual together with our first quotation. The Environmental Management System ISO 14001 applies within the Metso Paper Inc. industrial compound.

American Bureau of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd and Korean Register have approved our manufacturing facilities and procedures.
