COMPANY PROFILE

Finnish Mobimar Ltd. is a boatyard and engineering company specialised in workboat and submarine design and building. In addition Mobimar is designing and accomplishing high demanding modular cruise ship systems.

Mobimar supplies cost-effective and reliable high quality vessels, individually suited to a range of applications like research, rescue, fairway service, oil recovery and crew transfer. In 2012, we delivered the first, eagerly awaited trimaran crew transfer vessel for offshore wind farms. Mobimar also provides submarines for the tourist industry – actually almost half of all operational tourist submarines in the world are built by us. The most recently entered vessel category is high tech passenger vessels and yachts.

Many of our innovative products are unique and protected by a patent. We are designing the products by ourselves. If the new constructions require more FEM-calculations or model testing we are often performing them together with VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. Later in production the majority of products are in such dimensions that they can be built and lifted inside our 5000 m2 facilities. There the "Mobimax" size for the constructions is 13 meters in width and 50 meters in length. Additionally the overhead crane capacity is up to 50 tons.
