SATISFIED SEA RESCUE VOLUNTEERS

Four out of seven Mobimar 14 Guardian vessels have been operating succesfully in Finnish coastal waters and in lake regions. The volunteers in Turku who received their P/V ABSO in mid-June have already had to test their vessel properties in action.

The following article in local newspaper Turun Sanomat describes (in Finnish) that some of the missions with the new P/V ABSO could not have been executed with the former vessel. The simple limiting factor for the previous vessel was the slower deployment time with the max. speed of ~20 kn. The new vessel exceeds over 40 knots top speed fully operational.

The next Mobimar 14 Guardians will be delivered to Pori, Jyväskylä and Lahti where they will correspondingly improve local maritime safety.
